We love you Dad and sale continues!

Dads deserve soo much thanks today. I can't image what I would do without the men in my life. I admire those of you who are single Moms! I know there are times we take things for granted but it's nice to have one day set aside to really tell our men how special they are! Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dad's out in the world!

My sale continues so if you need a little something to complete your Dad projects simply hop on over to my store here and save some money.

I had 3 cards to make for Dad's day this year so I decide to create a few files to help me with this task. I always start out making things early but days don't go as planned and I fall behind.  You saw one of the cards in yesterday's post.  I ended up just simply making two of these to save time.

Well you see I sat down and managed to get the truck from Stampin' Up's Loads of Love stamp set colored with Copics.  I also heat embossed the silver accents and added a little Spica glitter markers to the hearts.  I thought I had paper to go with this image but as it turned out nothing I had worked out right...so...I decided to make some papers.  I wanted something masculine but not dark and dreary..something that would work for Dad but also for children and feminine projects too so that is why I decided to add the pop of yellow.  So I finished designing the papers and had intended to use my Card Base 9 cutter file to complete the card.  However I was running short on time.  So I decided to use the digital version Digi Card Template 5.  to speed things up a bit.  The base is one layer with the diamond border from the cutter file and other accents added over top.  This saved lots of time since all I had to do was clip the papers to the template and print.  I even printed another one at the same time..this way I would have one to use later.  Oh and I just printed this on plain white cardstock.  But if you click on the photo you will see the card has some texture to it.  (Sorry for the dark photo..one of these days I will invest in a light box)  I used a Stampin' Up texture plate to achieve this.  I really like how it give a little depth to the one layer printout.

The above card is completely digital.  I can print several of these and have them ready at a moments notice for when..gasp..I forget a birthday or something!  I used Digi Card Template 5, Ziggity Zag digital papers, and Ice Cream with Bowl digi template. These type of cards are also great for Operation Write Home (OWH) since they are completely flat and you can print many at once to send.

If you would like to purchase any of the files used in my above cards please click on the previews below.

My talented creative design team member Kelly Stone also has been busy with one of my newer files.  She used my Father's Day Shirt file to make cards for the special men in her life.

Aren't they great looking shirts and cards!  I love how Kelly inked the blue gingham pieces to give the shirt lots of depth.  I also love how Kelly tilted the orange striped shirt slightly..makes it more fun!  Please click the preview below if you'd like to purchase this shirt file.

Have an absolutely wonderful Father's Day weekend!  Thanks for stopping by and please come back again!  I soo enjoy your company and comments!

Arrows Template

Gotta Have Arrows

Aussie Caz did a great job with both of the files pictured above.

This one uses every single arrow!  Caz used the digital arrows along with her "Boy Stuff" kit.  I love the whimsical look of this layout and the sentiment is soo sweet!

Caz also created a wonderful card using Dustin Pike's truck image.  I love the sentiment and how the arrow reinforces it.  This card is a definite motivator for anyone.   Pssst...this will be the card was modeled after a sketch and card base Caz created....hint...hint...you will be seeing it again in May if you participate in my card sketch challenge on the PT forum.

Next up CDT Lisa Lindesmith created not only a wonderful card but a great layout using my Spring Watering can digital stamp.  I love both projects.   Gets me in the mood to plant flowers in my flower beds.   I love cutting flowers and bringing them in to sit on my table!

If you'd like to try your hand at creating your own bit of Spring beauty....click on the preview or words below to purchase my Spring Watering Can digital stamp.

Digital CU templates are in my store NOW and freebie!

Howdy!
I'm excited to announce I have a new element in my Paperthreads store. I have added a few Commercial Use Okay No credit required templates. They are in grayscale so that makes it a breeze to add your styles, clip paper to or colorize to match your digital kits. I hope to add many more in the future so please check back. Below are the previews of the ones in the store...click on the individual previews to be taken directly to the templates. Oh and these are available in layered PSD format and also separate PNGs for non-Photoshop users.

I have a ton of designs from my digital cutter files than can be easily be turned into templates. If you see a digital cutter file in my store you'd like turned into a CU digital scrapbooking template just e-mail me at shellysart@verizon.net and I'll be sure to get it in the store as soon as possible.

If you'd like to try out my digital scrapbooking templates before you buy. You can download this cute little ducky FREE by clicking on the preview below.

Now for you all you with digital cutters out there I haven't forgotten about you. I have a new cutter file in the store too. Click on the preview below to see more details.

I will be making this into a digital scrapbooking template as soon as I get a few other commitments out of the way. The end of the month is always crazy for me!

Above is one of the photos from my son's graduation from Pre-K. They did a few songs and I cried. One really cute one they did goes as follows:

"This is Tyler, this is Tyler
He's our friend,
This is Tyler he's our friend,
He's so special
He's so special!"

They did this for each and every child. There were 12 of them. I thought it was great for those 4 and 5 year olds to do that. My son sang very loud and we were so proud of him! They had a luncheon afterwards and he got a big bag of loot from the pre-schoool. You can see more photos on my facebook account here. I just recently joined facebook but I love it as it's so much easier than blogging. So if you haven't started an account I encourage you to do so! Check out the paperthreads facebook account here to keep up to date on all our sales and promotions. Next up I'll look into Twitter.

I have signed up to do a collaboration with many of the other Paperthreads Designers so if you have a digital cutter you must go sign up for this membership now as it's a good deal and the proceeds go to fellow designer whose family is battling cancer right now. Click the preview below to sign up.

Gotta get to work on those membership files! Thanks for looking!

Monkeys have arrived in my store and SCAL users I have something for you!

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! It seems like weeks when you have a day off actually last longer then regular full weeks. Go figure! I guess it's because you have to squeeze a more work into a shorter work week!

As you can see above I'm excited to tell you I now offer SVG files separated by color for all the SCAL and Circut users out there. I will be offering all new files I put in my store at Paperthreads in SVG format. If you see something already in the store you would like in SVG format please click here to put in a request and I will convert the files for you ASAP.

I have a whole slew of monkey files in my store I designed for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. I had so much fun making these and I hope you will too. Click on the previews to see the items in my store. All these files are ready to purchase in SVG, AI, GSD, WPC and KNK formats.

If you'd like to personalize your birthday banner with the party person's name or age then check out the files below. They use the same font as the birthday banner charms. Click on previews to see them in my store. Oh and there is no need to request these in SVG format. They are ready to go into the store in SVG format any day now.

If you like what you see and want to purchase all my monkey files. Just click on the preview to purchase the whole collection at a discounted price.

Also coming soon to my store is my very first CU okay digital scrapbooking template. I'm very excited to offer this soon and will have more in the future. I will also be offering this in a digital cutter format too.

I should get to bed soon but I promised you some photos of my daughter's second birthday party. She had a blast! I can't believe she is 2! I guess it's time to start potty training!

Aren't these cupcakes adorable. They are made with mini vanilla wafers for the ears and a large vanilla wafer for the face plus red and black icing. They are banana flavored with chocolate icing. Yummy! I got the idea from the following blog. Thank you!

Adoree was such a lucky birthday girl. She got soo many gifts! Not only did she get a bunch of baby dolls but also a pack and play to put them in. Her brother claimed the tent and bubble mower...yep they'll be fighting over those for sure! Mommy is happy she now has Summer clothes to wear! Now only if it would get warm again! Oh in case you are wondering what that bucket is that kissing Elmo is sitting in...it's the coolest thing! It is a wheel barrow of sorts for kids. They can help you in the garden pulling weeds and then place them in this bucket with wheels and a handle that rolls easily. We got it at Wal-Mart.

This face Adoree is making is priceless. She often did this when she opened a gift she liked..."ohh cups" she said. Who knew a bunch of disposable cups with straws would make her so happy!

The above photo just cracks me up! We had bought Adoree a monkey shirt, the hat and sunglasses for her party. She had her arms out posing like a movie star! She is so comical at times!

Well it's past my bed time so I'll say good night and catch up with you all later!
