Frugal Fridays: $1.00 emoticons file for today only and wonderful shared projects

Hello everyone,
It's Friday again and that means my special of the day!  For today only I am featuring my Emoticons file for only $1.00.   Hurry though the price will disappear at midnight EST today (April 16, 2010)!  I designed these to resemble the icons used in texting on cell phones.   I think they would look very cute on a scrapbook pages of  teen showing the massive popularity of texting in today's world.   However, if you are like me and have yet to join the masses...then this file would also look great on a card for a teen too.   Please go to my store and check it out by clicking here or the preview below.  But before you go I do have some wonderful projects that came to my mailbox!

First up I have some layouts to share.   Rosalie a very talented member of the Papertreads community shared with me this fun layout using my I love Ice Cream cutter file.  Check out the ice cream container..it's the Cold Stone Creamery!  This is my favorite ice cream place!  I'm so glad they don't have one too near my house or I'd be tempted to go every day!  LOL!  If you haven't heard of it...basically they mix various flavors of ice cream on a cold slab and add in toppings like chocolate cake, cookies, peanut butter cups, nuts etc.   It's to die for the best ice cream on earth in my opinion!  Just looking at their website makes me hungry!  Okay enough I'm drooling!  Don't you just love Rosalie's layout and the look on that little girl's face!  I'm not very good at mixing various pattern papers but Roaslie did an awesome job with that!

Click here or below to purchase the I love ice cream file and create some fun memories of your own!

I also have this available as a digital template for all you digital scrappers out there.
Click here or the preview below to buy the digi template.  PNG and layered PSD files included.

Next up is a digital layout by Aussie Caz.  She used my Spring Splendor digital scrapbooking kit to create this stunning layout.  I just love wisteria trees but hardly ever see them growing around here.   Caz explained that wisteria vines branch out, under and over things and become soo massive in size they can destroy buildings and such.  I can't believe such a beautiful flower could cause that much damage.  I'm happy Caz captured it's beauty safely on a wonderful layout!

Click on the preview below or here to purchase this kit.   It's on sale this month for less than $3.00!  An awesome deal if you ask me and I think Caz would agree!

Now for all you card makers out there...I have an absolutely gorgeous card made by Lisa Lindesmith.  However, Aussie Caz designed the awesome sketch she followed.   It's not too late to join in on the fun and use this sketch too along with the cutter files and PSD provided by Caz.  Click here to join my card sketch challenge on the PT forum.  I love the paper Lisa used and the rhinestones are the perfect accent.  The butterfly comes from my 3-D butterflies file.  Click here or the preview below to purchase.

OOps!  Sorry Lisa...I dunno what happened to your card earlier..but it's here now!  Isn't it beautiful!

My belly is rumbling so I will leave you with a few sneak peeks of files coming soon to my store.

It's soo time for lunch!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll have a glorious weekend!  Oh and I will have some layouts to show you I did when I was at the crop.  I spent too much time talking that I need to add some finishing touches to pages first!

I will be making this into a digital scrapbooking template as soon as I get a few other commitments out of the way. The end of the month is always crazy for me!

Above is one of the photos from my son's graduation from Pre-K. They did a few songs and I cried. One really cute one they did goes as follows:

"This is Tyler, this is Tyler
He's our friend,
This is Tyler he's our friend,
He's so special
He's so special!"

They did this for each and every child. There were 12 of them. I thought it was great for those 4 and 5 year olds to do that. My son sang very loud and we were so proud of him! They had a luncheon afterwards and he got a big bag of loot from the pre-schoool. You can see more photos on my facebook account here. I just recently joined facebook but I love it as it's so much easier than blogging. So if you haven't started an account I encourage you to do so! Check out the paperthreads facebook account here to keep up to date on all our sales and promotions. Next up I'll look into Twitter.

I have signed up to do a collaboration with many of the other Paperthreads Designers so if you have a digital cutter you must go sign up for this membership now as it's a good deal and the proceeds go to fellow designer whose family is battling cancer right now. Click the preview below to sign up.

Gotta get to work on those membership files! Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday Tyler and coupon!

I can't believe it my little guy is 5 today! Where has the time gone?! Kindergarten next year! UGH! Before I know it he will be graduating from high school. He loves to watch building shows so hopefully he'll build us a mansion for our retirement! LOL! He told his uncle he was having a Sponge Bob party so we had to go find stuff to fit the theme. Below are the highlights of the party.

The cake was pretty neat! The little figurine's heads popped off when you pushed a button.

Great gifts!

I was pretty happy to find these Sponge Bob crackers. Gotta love it when the snacks fit the theme!

These were ice cream cone cupcakes. Tyler really wanted to make these for his pre-school class. I hope they aren't too messy for the teachers!

NEVER buy those silcone pans. Items do not rise in these pans! The cupcakes inside the cones look like the size of mini tandy cakes even though I followed the directions. I have the silcone bread pans too but the same is true of them. I know because I made bread in one of these and one of the disposable bread pans. The disposable one flowed over it rose so much and the one in the silicone pan didn't even hit the top rim of the pan.

Okay now I know you're waiting for that coupon! Well first I need to remind you about my monthly sale then I'll give you the coupon I promise!

I know Christmas is in the air! Everyone is scrambling to make those Christmas cards and get them sent out BEFORE Christmas this year. I have a card in my store on sale that will make things easier for you. It cuts all in one piece. I've even supplied the sentiment and a rectangle backing to place behind the angel. It is on sale the whole month of November for 50% off. A great deal! Click on the photo below to be taken directly to it in my store.

Okay, you've made it this far and now I will give you the coupon.

In honor of my son's and husband's b-days I will give you a file for 99cents! Hubby's birthday is on the 21st too! By using the following coupon code during checkout SS1108_33977 you will receive 1.00 off my gift bag die cuts with button file. Click on the photo below to be taken directly to the file in my store. Hurry though coupon expires 11/21/2008 EST.

Thanks for looking , reading and shopping!
