Cyber Monday Sale!!

So did you go Black Friday shopping?  I did not brave the stores as I just don't like dealing with crowds to get that bargain.  I did however, do some cyber shopping today.  I got a great deal on something I think my daughter will love!  That made me soo happy that I decided to extend my sale just in case you haven't had time to do any cyber shopping of your own.  I just love the convenience of online shopping..you can sit and relax in your jammies and know that wonderful presents are a click away!

So all of my files are 35% off now through Nov. 30th.  I have over 250 files in storage here that I am working on putting into my new store but it is a process.  If you don't see anything that strikes your fancy then please ask as I just may have it!  Click here to go shopping. But..before you go I have a wonderful project to show you!

I am sooo envious...Elizabeth has been a card making fool!  She has a ton of beautiful Christmas cards just like this one done!  I hope she can inspire you to get those cards ready for mailing.  Gosh Christmas is just around the corner!  Elizabeth used my Card Base 2:  Hexagons and the pine cones from my Build a Wreath file.  Click on the previews below to purchase the files and duplicate Elizabeth's terrific card yourself!

Well now I do have to go to the store..but I think it's safe..the mad rush should be over!  Thanks for stopping by!  Please come back again!

Play Date Cafe and Color Throwdown Challenges

Hi everyone,
I went to a crop this weekend.  It was soo much fun!  I actually got a few cards done for two color challenges.

Here is what I came up with for this challenge.

I wasn't sure I liked these colors at first but once I put them on paper I think they look great!  I copied an amazing card from Betsy Veldman.  You can see it here.  I just love the layout of the card.  I'd like to try it with Christmas colors and a poinsettia in place of the rose.  So you may just see that in future.

supplies:
Stamps:  PTI Rosie Posie, PTI Everyday Classics (sentiment), PTI Happy Hexagons, PTI Spot and Dots (bottom border)
Ink:  all Momento Potter's Clay, Sweet Plum and Grape Jelly
Copic markers used to shade rose but sorry can't remember what color

I had to make a birthday card for my uncle.  So I decided to mimic a card I had done previously but just make it more masculine and use the colors above.  I still like the feminine one better.  You can find it here.   But I am terrible at making masculine cards...flowers and fru fru are so ME!  Anyway, it will go in the mail regardless!

supplies:
Stamps: PTI Happy Hexagons, PTI Honey Bees (sentiment)
Ribbon:  from my stash
Die cuts:  Card Base 11..stamped hexagons over the overlay frame and then removed.   Birthday designed by me cut on my KNK

I hope to participate in a few more challenges this week so stay tuned!  Thanks for stopping by!  Please come back again!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Papertrey ink Happy Hexagons and Everyday Classics anniversary edition
Ink:  Papertrey ink (Berry Sorbet), Memento (Pear Tart, Angel Pink, Tangelo)

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

Moxie Fab Hooked on Hexagons Challenge

Gasp!  Well look at that I am sharing a layout with you!  I know you all thought I only make cards!  I do scrapbook now and again..I just always forget to photograph my layouts.  This time I had a good excuse to take a photo.  I am entering this layout into the  Hooked on Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

I went to a crop this weekend and really wanted to included hexagons in one of my layouts.  I found the above sketch by Becky Fleck featured on Bella Blvd Studio Blog and fell in love with it!  It wasn't as easy to duplicate as I thought but...I do love how it turned out.  I used my Sew Easy and some embroidery floss to do the stitching.  I didn't bring my KNK with me to the crop so I used my friend's cutter to cut 2.5" hexagons.  I intend to replicate this layout again.  I will use my Card Base 11:  Hexagons cutter file to cut the hexagons as a single hexagon is included in the file.   I used Color Me Crazy flowers colored with Copics.  I added a bead cap and rhinestone to finish off the center.  I would think my Playful Flowers Leaves and Vines cutter file could easily be substituted.  The hearts are punches I borrowed at the crop.  The stitching really did take forever..I am thinking next time I might just use my pen tool in my KNK to draw some faux stitching lines or maybe even let the KNK make stitching holes as it was hard to get the Sew Easy to pierce straight holes.  I could totally see this layout done with snowflakes instead of flowers too.  Now to find a single winter photo I can use.  I normally take too many pics!  A single photo layout is rare for me!

In case you are in need of a hexagon...you can purchase my file by clicking on the preview below.  It's on sale through the end of this month (July 31, 2012) so hurry and grab this great deal!
