Customer Appreciation Day blog hop

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you! to all my wonderful customers.  A million thanks isn't near enough!  You deserve sooo much more!  I can't thank you enough for liking my files enough to buy them.  Even though I have been designing for about 4 years now I still get giddy when I see my files being used on wonderful projects.  I marvel at how talented you are all!  So give yourselves a big hug and pat on the back (also be sure to pick up the freebie at the end of this post)!  Thanks for bieng YOU!  I totally know what it is like to be on a budget so for customer appreciation days I have put all my files on sale for 50% off.  This includes not only cutter files but also digi stamps and digital scrapbooking kits.  I am working on converting all my files to MTC and Studio formats.  If you see a file you want but isn't available in these formats simply purchase any format and e-mail me the invoice...I will send you the format you need ASAP.

Click here or on the photo above to go shopping...But WAIT before you go please finish reading this post. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Wow!  Take a look at that gorgeous set of cards my talented design team member Johanne made!  Would you believe all those cards were made from one file.  Yeppers Johanne used my newest file Happy Everything to make cards for every occasion.  You can see it below.  Click on the photo to buy it.

Johanne cards are soo fabulous that I decided over the next few days to share with you each card individually.

Here is what Johanne had to say about her beautiful card:

"The papers are Gold & Silver Collection from Martha Stewart - EK Succes.  I embossed all edges with gold powder.  I cut each border twice, one in each color to play as shadow.  For the ring, I interlaced them with ribbon and used the top part to glue to the other border. I stamped the bell with Mindy's flowers clear stamp autumn leaves and also embossed it.  The sentiment was printed  and then cut.  I decorated the bell with the heart button and the ivory ribbon bow."

I am simply amazed by the details Johanne put into this card!  I especially love how she wove the ribbon through the border.  Below is a close up photo so you can see how it's done!  Brilliant!

You have to click on the above photo to make it larger...that is the only way you will see the detailed stitching Johanne added to the flourishes to this card.  I just love the texture it adds! Here is what Johanne had to say about her festive card:

"The papers are  Baby Steps Collection - Totally Adorable & Flash Card  from Simple Stories and Lost & Found Two Collection - Blush Favorite from My Mind's Eye Dance Paper.  When I cut the base, I picked the area of the paper with the swirls to be able to embroider over them with brown thread.  This give the card some dimension.  I printed my sentiment and then cut the border.  I embossed the top part of the cupcake with the Cuttlebug embossing folder inked it with Memento pear tart ink and used stickle over it and also over the flame. My button was too thick for the card so I sanded it to be able to use it."

I have that embossing folder and must make a mental note to use it for icing!  I love the look!  I have never thought to sand down a button to make it thinner either!  Johanne is just filled with brilliant ideas!  I'll post the other cards tomorrow and Monday.

Laury (Just Laury) fellow Paperthreads designer and I have decided to team up to give you matching freebies.  The sentiment is what I am giving you at the end of this post and you'll find the leaves, stems and vase as a freebies on Laury's blog.

Deets of my example:
I used my card base 1 for this card. It gave me the perfect place to showcase Laury's great floral arrangement and also my sentiment.  I also used the flowers from my Build an Easter Egg file.  I tried to sculpt them with my needle too but it didn't work extremely well.  One of these days I need to get some of those paper shaping tools
Laury talks about.  I used Copics to color the inner part of the leaves darker than the outer.  I also used Copics to draw tiny lines in the center of the flowers to add depth.  The yellow centers are part of Laury's freebie file.  I added some liquid pearls to the center of the flowers and decorations on the vase.  You can't tell in the photo but I added some glossy accents to the vase to make it look more realistic.  I also used some of my homemade baker's twine.  (Sorry I haven't gotten around to a tut on this..one of these days...promise!) Oh and the papers are from Autumn Leaves.  If you would like to purchase any of the files I used simply click on the photos to be taken directly to them in the store.

Whew!  Thanks for reading all that!  As promised here is your freebie!

Click (link expired..look for this file in my store) or on the preview above to download the digital stamp along with flower and circle cutting files.  This sentiment can also be punched with a 1 1/2" circle punch..  Don't go...keep reading!
