First trip to the dentist file at my gallery, cool technique turn paper into metal

Here is a layout I did of my son's first trip to the dentist...he actually went at an early age because we thought he had a rotten tooth erupting...turns out we had nothing to worry about though. This uses my First trip to the dentist file complete with toothbrushes and toothpaste available at my gallery at Cuttersmarket. I wanted the title to look like toothpaste coming out of a tube and think it turned out pretty good.

I also used Chris Durnan's wonderful dentist tools file available at Paperthreads. The layout is based on a Cherish sketch. (Have you seen these books...I just love them and you can get them from a Close to My Heart consultant. They give you step by step sketches complete with cutting diagrams and precise measurements. Makes doing a classy layout a breeze! I would love to get my hands on the new Imagine book...I have seen it since I helped get my friend one for Christmas. I didn't get myself one though Boo hoo!) The single tooth dies are Ellison I think. I used self sticking dots by Colorbok (available in the dollar section at JoAnn's) they are the ones that look like brads but much easier to apply. They were too shiny for me so I sanded them a bit.

Check out this cool technique! I used silver paper to cut the dentist tools then applied silver ink and several layers of embossing powder to achieve the look of metal. In real life they look amazing. I can't wait to try this to make my own charms!

Thanks for reading and looking! Have a great evening!
