Witch hat cookies, jack o lanterns, and freebie!

Howdy everyone,
I'm sorry I told you I would share the witch hat cookie yesterday but I was in charge of taking photos of all the Kindergarten kids in their costumes, helped with the school's parade and at my son's Halloween party. I started coming down with a cold and after all that activity I crashed last night. I went to bed at 8:30 and didn't get up again until my daughter woke me up around 7:00. Gee I usually only sleep about 4 hours a night...you would think after all that sleep I would feel refreshed but I'm still tired! Hope I'm not catching that Swine Flu my son had. I don't have time to be sick! LOL! We still have to carve pumpkins and do trick or treating tonight!

Okay now on to the witch hats. These were a big hit at my son's party and they were soo easy to do..if you need a quick treat for tonight yet these can be made in minutes. I have also seen them done with peanut butter cups on top (instead of the kisses) to make pilgrim hats for Thanksgiving.

As you can see my son had fun making these! I have a feeling we'll be making the pilgrim hats for Thanksgiving too! Someone suggested trying to do elf hats for Christmas...hmmmm we shall see!

I have a few wonderful layouts and even some creative wall art to share with you using my build a jack-o-lantern file.

I just love how Caz and Games incorporated my file into their layouts. I love seeing layouts...it seem we are all soo busy now a days...we can barely make a card!

Isn't this Wall Art by Jinkies just grand? I am totally in awe at this. She placed the items in a frame and used great black and white colors. Looks like something that just jumped out of a home interiors magazine. I bet you could do this with many of the cutter files you are collecting. Be inspired by Jinkies..stop hoarding and use your files to decorate your house!

We haven't carved out pumpkins yet...that is my goal after lunch to get them DONE! But this was one I carved last year. I used my build a jack-o-lantern file as a stencil so I knew where to carve. Since my kids are still pretty young these simple faces are fine for them. You can even cut the faces out of vinyl and apply them to the front of a pumpkin so you don't have to deal with the messy cleaning out and all that.

If you think you'd like to purchase my build a jack-o-lantern file click on the preview below. Hurry if you buy it quick you can get it for $1.49 but only until midnight CST tonight.

Above is the first file in my quarterly membership club. It starts tomorrow! It's a great deal as you get at least 20 files for only $10.00. I promise you a variety of files including boxes, cards, and home decor items. Click on the preview below to purchase the membership.

Okay now to reward you for making through this long post I am going to give you a freebie. This little spider decided to dress up as a vampire for Halloween. SALE, Butterflies, Bugs and a Freebie!

Hurry into my store for a great sale! Attention SVG and SCAL users....if you see a file in the store you'd like to purchase but it isn't in SVG format simply purchase the file in any format e-mail me the proof of purchase and I will mail you the SVG format ASAP.

I know I haven't been good at blogging but honestly I have been busy! As proof I'd like to show you a new file I have in the store. It is great gift card holder. It comes complete with a girly version and a boyish version. Click on the previews to get it at a great sale price in my store.

Take a look at what my talented CDT member did with the card file. She placed it inside of a base card. I love the cuttlebug embossing and chalking she did! Isn't the card exquisite! The picture really doesn't do it justice. Click on the photo for a larger photo.

She also used my 3-D butterfly file. She cut the butterfly out of acetate and stamped elegant swirls on it. Simply stunning!

Lisa wasn't the only one playing with my butterflies. Another very talented member of my CDT wanted in on the fun too. Elizabeth created a wonderfully whimsical card. It's amazing how versatile these butterflies are...from Lisa's elegant card to Elizabeth's whimsical card.

Oh and I almost forgot another talented CDT member also showed me a new way to play with the butterflies. She glued magnets on their backs and stuck them on the refrigerator. What a great idea! Thanks Ladies for all the inspiring ways to use my butterflies.

If you would like my butterflies to fly into your home, click on the preview below to purchase them at a great sale price!

CDT member Kelly Stone made this great baby boy card using my Clothes Line Baby Boy card file. Here what she had to say about the card she made. "The clothes line is made out of some raffia I had on hand, twisted tight to form a "rope" and then I used the folding clothes pins to hang the clothes. I got out the Cuttlebug for this project to use on the clothes (I used the Argyle embossing folder)." I have a pile of raffia at home and never thought to use it for card making! Brilliant Kelly!

Click below to purchase the card at a great sale price. Note: there is also a girl version.

Buzzz...buzzz some cutie bugs are coming to my store soon. I hope they will get in before mys sale is over...just check back if you like them. Update: The bugs have arrived. Click on the preview below to purchase them!

Okay I do have some more wonderful fun projects from my talented CDT to share with you......but.....I'll save those for another day as I promised you a freebie. So without further ado here it is.

I am totally addicted to farming on Facebook (thanks Elizabeth!) so this file is dedicated to my new addiction. I hope you guys can find some use for it. Please post a thank you when you download as that is what keeps me motivated to bring you more freebies. Also, please do not share this file send people to my blog to get the file.
