It's time for a sale! Membership Club files and CDT projects.

It's time for a sale!  Spring is finally here (well technically it still feels like Winter here temp wise) and it's time to get rejuvenated.  Dust off those crafting supplies and head to my store for some fabulous deals.  Click here to go shoppping!  Before you leave though I have a few more things to share with you.

Oh I wanted to let you know the infinity card pictured in the last post is now in the store.  Click here.  It was only available for membership previously since membership participants get the files in advance.  It's actually a better deal to purchase the membership at $10.00 for 20+ files versus the one infinity card file at less than $3.00 on sale.

Above you will see the latest addition to my membership club.  I wanted to use my Manny Monkey digi stamp for the March RAK at Paperthreads.  However, I did not have any jungle themed paper to go with it so thus this tent card was born.  I love the 3-D effect this card has.  The back panel inside panel is an actual jungle scene will tall grass, swinging vines and jungle trees.  That scene alone would be great enlarged on a scrapbook page or even cut out of vinyl for a wall scene.  If you'd like to see the other files I have provided for membership so far check out the previous post or the slide show on the right hand side of my blog.  If you'd like to purchase my membership club click here.  If you would like to purchase the monkey digi stamp click on the words above the preview.

Now I'd like to share with you a sneak peek at the next file that will be added to the membership soon.  I just think it's the cutest and hope you do too!  You choose which body parts you want to add to the bunny to make him/her sit stand etc.  Kelly Stone cut the bunny pieces in the preview below...she did a great job..don't you think!

Okay now I want to share with you some amazing projects by my Creative Design Team.

First up we have a beautiful card by Lisa Lindesmith using my 3-D butterflies file.  I never think about cutting die cuts out of patterned paper....I'm glad Lisa did because her butterfly looks amazing!

If you would like to capture my butterflies while they are on sale please click the words above the preview.

3-D Butterflies
Next up we have some great digital scrapbooking pages by Aussie Caz.  She used my Spring Splendor Kit
It's huge and is definitely a steal at less than $3.00 during my sale.  Caz did a fabulous job showcasing my kit check out her wonderful layouts below.

Seeing Caz's layout makes me itching to do some digital scrapbooking.  It's very quick and easy since all that is needed is a computer and a fabulous kit.  Everything coordinates so there isn't any time wasted looking through my entire physical scrapbooking stash finding things that go together.  Plus it's great once you have the page done it can be printed many times and even in a smaller size to put in an album for friends and family.  If you'd like to purchase my Spring kit...click on the words above the preview below.

I must admit I have not taken very many photos of Tyler this year.  We weren't invited to the school parties like last year and when we do attend things...Adoree usually has me running around too much to take photos.  So that is why I haven't been sharing many photos of him on my blog lately.  So I dug one out to share with you.

Tyler absolutely loves playing with Legos.  He even has the ones Daddy used to play with when he was a child.   Tyler has many prepacked kits with instructions on how to build fire trucks, diggers etc....and even has two books with instructions on how to build things.  However, what he likes to do best is build original creations that only exist in his mind without any instructions.  So when he heard there was going to be a hobby fair at school...he got to work building his "own" city.  He had a blast and everyone loved it!  The things he designs is quite amazing...everyone tells us he has a mind like an engineer.  Hmmm maybe one day he'll build us a dream house!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have an amazing weekend!  Oh and please check back...the strawberry graphic on my Ad will be a digital stamp in my store soon.  I have designed some digital paper (which can be printed out) to go with it and will give it to you FREE for a limited time.

Only A few hours left for 40% off sale and Halloween treats to share.

Hurry only a few more hours to get any of my files you want for 40% off.  The sale ends at midnight EST tonight.  Click here to go to my store.

I hope you all enjoyed your Halloween festivities!  I'd like to thank all of you who gave me opinions on how to finish my Halloween layout.  I got soo many great ideas I don't know which I will go with exactly.  I'll mull it over and finish the layout soon.  I will post the end result.  Thanks again! :0)
I know Halloween is over but I'd still like to share with you a few Halloween treats that two lovely ladies shared with me.

Both ladies used my Spider Box file.  I'm glad you guys liked this box as I sooo enjoyed designing it!

First up Karen made a whole bunch of boxes.  I wonder what the word is for multiple spiders.  You know like a lot off geese is a gaggle..    Anyway, on to her great boxes!  She even drew eyebrows on and did little heart noses with glitter glue.  Love these whimsical touches!

Carol had an "out of the box" idea so to speak.  She used just the spider from the box and didn't cut the hole in the middle of the spider.  She added a rolo to the bottom and a kiss on top for these great little treats!  Sweet idea Carol...love it!

I am hosting another card sketch challenge on the Paperthreads forum.  Here is a peek at the awesome sketch Aussie Caz created.  Hop on over to the forum and join in here.  You will get the cutter file and layered PSD for this sketch plus a chance to win another free cutter file.  A pretty good deal dontcha think!

Above is Caz's example card of her whimsical sketch.  I am not good at things that aren't linear..but Caz is a whizz at it!  I just love how fun she made my Manny monkey file look and the matching buttons are the perfect touch!  Click on the words above the photo if you'd like to take Manny home with you!

Great Outdoors

CDT member Aussie Caz even used this title in a wonderfully creative way.  She used it in this digital scrapbooking layout.  I just love how it turned out..don't you!?!

Well I have been very busy on potty duty and other members of my CDT have been busy too so I don't have any other paper crafting projects to share with you.  But...you know I like to "blab" so I can't end this blog post here!  So please read on and at the end of the post you'll see a sneak peak at a digital stamp coming soon to the store and I hope you'll give me an opinion on it.

Yipee..eventually I am getting my very own craft room.  It may be a while until it's ready but I'm very excited about it.  So much so that I have started figuring out ways to organize all my stuff so I can be productive in my craft room.  So I figured I'd share my finds with you here so hopefully it will help you get organized and in turn you'll have more time to make wonderful paper crafting projects.

When I scrapbook and card make the very first thing I think about before I start the project is figure out my color palette.  So I thought about that when I began looking for organizational ideas.   I have a ton of embellishments and really need a good system to store them.  While googling I came across Nicole Heady's wonderful studio here.  She has all her embellishments grouped by color.  So when she needs a pink embellishment she grabs her pink box and she's good to go.  So I had two compartment boxes here and I set to work.

I just did this a couple days ago so I'm not sure if I'm going to like it but in theory it looks great!  Now all my ribbons, fibers, brads, buttons etc all  in one box.  So if I need a pink flower I grab this box..need a pink ribbon..grab this box too.  Now it's not an exact science as some of my ribbons have more than one color.  But since the boxes are all nice and organized and everything is visible it's not hard to look in each box if need be.  Rather than thumbing through many....many different boxes and stuff to find what I need.  Now for a little details on what I have in the box.

*small brads and eyelets are in little snap shut containers.  These were in a bead organizing box all colors together previously.  So I kept my eyelets and brads in these boxes allowing me to keep various things in one compartment of my pink box.

*larger patterned brads are stuck through cork boards keeping them nice and visible

*fibers are in mini zip bags.  I purchased a lot of fibers through E-bay many years ago they had each fiber in a mini zip bag.  I love this as it keeps the fibers contained, organized and untangled.  I plan on getting more of these bags for my other fibers..I saw some at Wal-mart.   They are also great for the small brads and stuff too...allowing for more than one item in each compartment of my box.

*Aren't those little rolls of ribbon cute!  No it didn't take me a lifetime to roll all those ribbons up.  I used a very nifty tool to help me roll them in literally minutes.  The ribbon spooler is sooo handy.  It is one of my favorite tools.  When the ribbon is spooled in this way you can fit soo much ribbon in a very small space.  Which is good for me since I have a massive amount of ribbon.  Can you say "ribbon addict!"

I do see two problems with this method.  One I only have two of these boxes which I bought years ago when I first started paper crafting and all of my embellishments fit into these two boxes.  So now I need to find more boxes ....keeping my fingers crossed I can without spending a fortune.  I love these boxes because the dividers slide out giving me a bigger compartment.  Two there is no room to grow at least in this box!  I kinda went nuts with pink...did the red box and it's pretty empty!  I think that is because when I had a little girl after doing boy layouts for soo many years I went pink crazy!  So I thought about an alternative if it costs too much to buy a box like this for every color.  I could buy some of those plastic drawers and do one drawer in each color and use the zip bags, tin containers etc to seperate items.  I'd have to dig a little because stuff wouldn't be as compartmentalized but at least there is room to grow and I just toss it in the drawer when I get something new.  This would take up more room though.  I do  think this method  will allow me to see what colors of I need more of and what I shouldn't buy again....ummmm...like PINK!  So what do you think.  Do you give this method a thumbs up or thumbs down?

Okay now for the sneak peek I promised you.  I have been working on this monkey digital stamp and I think it turned out pretty cute.  I'm not positive I like the squiggles by the leaves.  What do you think?  Please let me know either in comment on this post or the chat box to the right top of this blog.  I want to include some sentiments too so hopefully I can get this in the store by next week.

I'll end this post with some Summer Fun!  Last year we had a big inflatable pool but it was soo hard to clean and my kids don't stay in the pool they keep getting out and stepping into the grass and mud making the pool water messy.  So this year we decided to get a kiddie plastic pool that is much easier to clean.  However, it wasn't too small as I couldn't fit it in my van when I bought it.  LOL!  Hubby had to get it with his truck!  The kids love it and I'm soo glad!  One of their favorite things is to make us soup and tea using cheap plastic containers, spoons and watering cans.  Gotta love it when simple things provide endless entertainment!

Okay gotta go..need to go on a compartment box hunt!  Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

New files in my store and many fabulous projects by my CDT!

Hello,

I hope all is well with everyone. I'm pretty busy preparing for a birthday party for my almost 2 year old daughter. We are so hoping it doesn't rain on Sat as we don't want 25 or so people crammed in our little house. We are having a monkey themed party since she climbs on everything. Somewhere someone taught her to even pick bugs out of our hair..too funny! So after I recover from the party you will be seeing many monkey themed files in my store. Below are a few previews of what is to come!

Do you like the look of my blog! Well hop on over to my friend and Creative Design Team Member's blog. Elizabeth did a fabulous job designing blog backgrounds from my newest digital scrapbooking kit Spring Splendor. Give her some love if you download the freebie backgrounds she has so graciously provided. While you're at it check out the kit. Click on the preview below to see it in my store. Hurry it's on sale for $2.50 this month only.

Check out my two new files in the store. Click on the previews to see them in my store and scroll down to see them used in a layout.

I did the layout for a sketch example in the April 2009 Paperthreads Newsletter. See more info and Ginny's sketch by reading the newsletter here.

Well Sue did it again! She sure has a knack for using my products in unique, fun ways. Take a look at what she did with the my lollipop bouquet. She replaced the lollipop with kisses and dowel rods. I just love how she used the curling ribbon to hold the flowers on the dowel rod.

Now you want to make your own kisses bouquet! Click on the preview below to purchase my file.

Check out what my creative design team member did with my ever so popular birds of a feather file. Isn't it the greatest. You can find the bird box template here on Nicole Heady's blog.

Click on the preview below to purchase your very own little birdies!

My creative team is just creating simply more and more wonderful projects so many so that I can hardly keep up with them. I have even more to show you but this post is getting pretty long. I will leave you with one more item created by CDT Laury Vaden. She used my tea caddy file. Don't you just love the colors and inking she did. Click on the tea caddy preview to purchase the file. Hurry it's on sale for $1.97 the month of May only.

Now I'd better get back to monkey business. Oh but before I forget. SCAL users Paperthreads will soon be offering files suitable for SCAL users. We would like to know what your preference is. Please fill out the poll here.
