I have yet another wonderful project to share with you from Shelly M.  She used my Notepad With Cover file to create an elegant notepad that would be great stocking stuffer.

I love the bling she added and the double bows!  Shelly used K&CO paper and a Hero Art stamp for the sentiment.   Hmm I should make one of these to put in my purse as the one I have now doesn't have a cover and it looks pretty ratty!   If you would like to make one too simple click on the words above the preview to purchase.

Notepad with Cover

I know Christmas is just a few days away  so it is too late to mail cards but you may need one to give to friends and family along with their gift so I figured I'd share with you this beautiful card made by Shelly M also.

Here is what Shelly had to say about her gorgeous card.

"I kept this card simple by using a musical background stamp, embossing the sentiment, inking the card base, Shelly's gorgeous STARS from Build a Wreath (SS00027) and finally, using a Krylon gold pen to outline the sentiment and card base."

I don't have many backgrounds stamps but I want to invest in a musical and written word one someday as they really do make quick cards easily!

Ohh take a look at the newest graduate in the family.  Hubby graduated last Sat with a BS!  We are sooo proud of him!  Doesn't he look handsome in his gown!  It's great to have him "back" and not tied down with school.  He is even baking Christmas cookies...bless him!

Okay I still have a few Christmas things to finish up.  I hope you all have the best Christmas ever!  If you are traveling...I wish you safe travels!  Thanks for visiting me time and time again in 2010 and I hope you'll come see me in 2011!

Season's Greetings!

Moose Tic Tac Holder

I have 4 more in the works.  I'm afraid we just had soo many holiday festivities that I haven't gotten a chance to finish them.  Hopefully I'll get to them on Sunday....hmmm I need to get Xmas cards sent out soon too huh!  Tomorrow hubby graduates from college with his Bachelor's degree.  He has an Associates but went back for his Bachelors while working full time.  Not an easy task when you have kids and a household to run.  We are very proud of him!  The kids are thrilled that he finally doesn't have any homework.....now Daddy can play!

Do you need a quick little gift for co-workers?  Lisa has the perfect solution.  She made these adorable treats using my Chocolate Nugget Treat Purse file

I love how Lisa used the shaped brads to complete the purses!  If you would like to make your own purses click on the words above the preview.  It's a great steal at less than $2.00.  As you can see it will take you through all your holiday needs all year long.

Next up we have a great little card made by CDT Shelly M using my Swirly Ornaments and Christmas Sentiments file.

I love the inking Shelly did and also the little jewels she decorated the tree with.  If you would like to copy Shelly's design and get those cards in the mail..please click on the words above the preview to purchase.

Swirly Ornaments
Christmas Sentiments

I promised to share with you a picture of our Christmas tree.  I do have one but it's not the greatest photo.  I normally mess with various settings to get a good photo but just didn't bother with that just yet.   Now remember this is the tree the kids decorated...Tyler is pretty tall so I didn't have much I had to do!  I just held my arms behind my back and waited patiently while they clustered ornaments and left bare spots!  Oh well they had fun!

I wrapped up presents and put them under the tree while the kids were sleeping.   It was soo funny Adoree woke up to find the presents there the next morning.  She was all concerned because she said Santa didn't have any room to put his presents under the tree so she started stacking the presents elsewhere!  Silly girl!  Yikes it's late.  We'd better get these kids to bed as we have a big day tomorrow.

Happy Holidays....have a merry weekend!

Frugal Fridays: $1.00 candy bar wrapper today only and some great projects from Shelly M

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well sort of! We got our tree up and decorated. I gave in and let the kids do the bottom. I patiently sat back while they put more than one ornament on a branch and left big empty spaces not saying a word! LOL! Actually it doesn't look tooo bad...I'll have to share a photo with you soon. Tyler wanted to replace all the lights with the bulb that made them flash even the top star (snowflake) and of course they flash at different times so it's quite distracting to hubby and I but Tyler loves it so we indulge him. He plugs in the lights every night and loves the flashing tree! My goal is to clean this house a little and get the rest of the decoration out today. I did manage to get quite a few packages wrapped and under the tree last night too! Next step gotta get the kids Christmas picture taken so we can send out Xmas cards before New Year is here! I hope you are enjoying all the holiday preparation!

Christmas Candy Bar Wrapper

Now on to my Frugal Friday special. For today only you get my Christmas Candy Bar Wrapper for $1.00. This makes an excellent stocking stuffer or small gift for teachers, hairdressers, postal workers, neighbors, etc. Hurry though this price magically disappears at midnight EST today 12/10/2010. Yikes are we really that far into December! Where has time gone! Better get working on those Christmas gifts! HUH! Need some inspiration? I have more wonderful projects from Shelly M. Oh and if you'd like to purchase the candy bar wrapper please click on the words above the photo to go directly to the store.

MMMM doesn't this set look yummy!  Not only did Shelly make the large candy bar wrapper but she incorporated some other files and smaller candy bar wrappers to make an entire set.  Who wouldn't love to get this as a gift!?!  Shelly used my Build a Wreath file to complete the set.
Click here to see the file in the store.

Isn't this box stunning?!  Wait a minute...is it a box or is it a card?  Actually it's both!  Here is what Shelly had to say about her gorgeous box.

"This was made for the Paperthread's 20 Challenge...to make an easel card and incorporate it into a gift box, gift bag or whatever else you can think of.  I used a cling mount stamp by Hero Arts and embossed it in gold.  To color the image I used Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils (they are my favorite watercolor pencils!!!) and then cut the sentiment from Christmas Word Charms from Shelly's Art (its on sale now!) from gold metallic paper.  I airbrushed the rhinestone to match, cut out the image and used pop dots to give it some dimension."

Christmas Word charms
These charms are great for cards and scrapbook pages.  Click on the words above the photo to purchase.

Shelly is making such good use out of my build a wreath file.  She used the ornament in that file to make these elegant gift tags.  Aren't they just beautiful....I just love how versatile Shelly's style is...whimsical one moment then sophisticated the next!  Here is what Shelly has to say about her project.

"I cut the ornaments out of dp (k&co) and then added Krylon gold to outline them. Sentiment is from PTI and the envelopes/tags are from QK"

Okay I'd better get us lunch then do the dishes so I can start decorating!  "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year".  Thanks a million for stopping by!  Have a festive weekend!

Frugal Friday: $1.00 Buttons Galore file today only!

Buttons Galore

For today only you can get this great collection of buttons for only $1.00!  With my Buttons Galore file you can have the perfect embellishment to match any paper crafting project since you'll be cutting it out of your favorite papers.  If you want to make your paper buttons look more realistic and 3-D...check out my blog for a great technique here.  Hurry don't miss out on this fantastic deal!  The $1.00 price magically disappears at midnight EST today 12/3/10.  Not sure you want to purchase this file?  Well Shelly M has some wonderful projects that might change your mind!  Check them out below!

First up Shelly combined 3 of my files to make this great fast card!
How creative was it was it for Shelly to see trees when she look at my triangular buttons!   Yet another brilliant idea...I never would have thought of in a million years...is to use the flower petals from the flower included in the tea caddy file to make the trunk for the trees!  Amazing light bulb moment there!  Great job Shelly!  If you would like to purchase either the Christmas Sentiments or the Tea Caddy file...click on the highlighted words in this sentence.

Okay take a look at this card!  Did you get a good look?!  What do you think Shelly used to make those flowers?  Give up....she used my Buttons Galore file to make them!  No I'm not kidding...really they are there!  The leaves are the triangle button with a few slits cut into them to turn them into leaves.  The roses are made by cutting many of the flower button and layering while shaping them to form the lovely rose.    Absolutely love it Shelly!

Isn't this card just adorable!  I love the doggie image Shelly used (not sure who makes that stamp..sorry) and the little dog bone buttons are the perfect embellishment to finish off the card!  She also used my Christmas Sentiments file for the greeting.

Here is one last great use of my Buttons Galore and Christmas Sentiments file.  I just love the embossing and the use of baker's twine.  I'm not positive but I think Shelly used Spellbinder's dies for the bracket box.  I do have a file that resembles that shape though in my Fancy Labels file.  Yeppers this is a great looking card that can be made in a matter of minutes!

Shelly is just amazing!  I don't know how she gets soo many projects completed but somehow she finds the time!  So...I'll have more projects to share with you by her in the near future.  Stay tuned!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fab weekend!
