I still have treats left.... 40% all my designs!

I have put all my designs on sale for 40% off.  A great little treat dontchya think!  I have a variety of items in my store including cutter files, digital scrapbooking kits, and digital stamps.  Click  here to visit my store.

I also need you opinion on this layout.  I started it at a crop many moons ago then worked on it at the PT retreat but have yet to finish it.  We all agree that something needs to go in that vast space of patterned paper on the right...but what?  I'm sorry about the glare but I used my Vampire Spider file for the title on the left hand side of the page.   So technically I don't need a title but I do need something.  Any thoughts?  I sooo want to complete these pages so please any input would be greatly appreciated.

click on the photo to make it larger if you need to.  I promise I'll post a better photo of along with details once it's completely finished!

Last night we carved our pumpkins and had Trick or Treating.  The kids had a blast!  Here they are in their costumes.  Aren't my little cheerleader and GI Joe cute...my goodness how fast they are growing as compared to them in the layout from a few years ago above.
Here is Adoree's pumpkin.  She picked a kitty.  We gave it to a friend of ours who has a sick kitty.   I didn't have my tripod for this one so it's a little blurry..sorry!

Here's Tyler's Jack-o-lantern.  He chose this scary pattern called Mr. Death.  I had a hard time carving this one and actually broke one of the delicate joints because as hubby pointed out I should have pushed the pieces from out the back.  Lesson learned!

Okay I need to put Adoree down for a nap, rake leaves, clean the bathroom and make up  grocery list so I'd better go!  Hope you're having a wonderful Halloween!  Thanks for stopping by!

No tricks only treats...40% off all my designs.

I don't have a Frugal Friday special for you but I have something even better!  I have put all my designs on sale for 40% off.  A great little treat dontchya think!  I have a variety of items in my store including cutter files, digital scrapbooking kits, and digital stamps.  I even have a few items that you can quickly make up as last minute gifts for those special trick or treaters.

Sue is never last minute when it comes to anything.  She shared her version of my cat tic tac holder within hours of it hitting the store!  This time of year we call  her the energizer pumpkin!  A week would't be the right without her sharing one of her wonderful creations.  Sorry...enough talking..let's show you her project!

Here is what Sue had to say about her little kitty.

"I'm making them for my co-workers and I hope they don't take offense on me giving them Tic Tac's! ROFLOL.  The base and mat are done in neon and rainbow crayons, the back of the cats head is done in black crayon and then I tied it all off with fiber yarn. I thought this would really be different than the ribbon in the previous two."

Sue told me the eyes and collar are done with glitter glue.  I just love how the eyes are glowing and the fiber reminds me of kitty hair...tooo puurrrfect!  Sorry I couldn't resist.

I plan on making up some of these tic tac holder for my kids tomorrow before trick or treating starts.  They go together quick and I'll be done lickety split!  During the sale you can get the whole collection for only $3.09 that's almost $1.00 a piece..a great deal!  Click on the words below to get something special made for those trick or treaters before it's too late.

Tic Tac Holder Collection

If you don't need the whole collection....no problem..they are also available individually.  Ghost, cat, pumpkin.  Click on the highlighted words to purchase.  You can also see Sue's versions of these in previous posts.

Isn't Jan's porch just amazing looking!  I love those pumpkins!  Now what's Jan's secret to making those cute pumpkins but not getting her hands messy!  Simply Jan used vinyl to cut the faces from my Build a Jack-o-lantern file.   Jan made one and hubby made one too.  I love the hat on hubby's!  I've never purchased the white pumpkin before but I just love it!  I also love how Jan put the pumpkins beside the scarecrows kinda like their pets!  I plan on doing this sometime today too..just got a dig out that vinyl and let the kids pick their faces.  (Better than picking their noses huh LOL).  Click on the words above the preview to purchase the file and make your own non messy jack-o-lanterns.

Build a Jack-o-lantern

Once again it is lunch time!  Where has the morning gone!  Gotta eat lunch then we get to see Tyler parade around the school in his Halloween costume.  Hope he doesn't get too cold!  Thanks for stopping by.  Oh and I still need an opinion on that layout.  I'll try and take a photo of it and post tomorrow or Sunday at the latest.
Happy Halloween!

Babies, airplanes, corn stalk dolls, rock climbing and Halloween???

Howdy,
I had sooo many great projects come to my email box lately that I just couldn't wait to share them with you!  So let's get started!

First up we have Karen's fabulous Prop Plane boxes.  She made them for her grandson's 5th birthday party.  They were a big hit filled with treats!

Karen is such a great MiMi (spelling?) for making sooo many boxes!  Here is what Karen had to say about her boxes.

"I cut the planes from brown/tan cardstock and then inked them with brown and green.  We added a few sticker stars too.  I cut the bottoms out of cardstock and then I created little triangles that I cut camo pp out and glued to the cardstock.  I also inked the clouds."

I just love the inking...great way to make the planes look similar to camouflage.  The little stars are the perfect touch!  I can definitely tell a lot of love went into these boxes! :)

Karen used my Prop Plane Box file.  If you'd like to purchase it...click on the words above the preview below.

Next up CDT member Lisa had a lot of fun with my Clothes Line Baby cards.

This last one was modeled after Aussie Caz's sketch for this month's sketch challenge on the Paperthreads Forum.  I just love the sentiment on the inside!  It's soooo true!  Click on the photo to make it larger if you can't read the sentiment.

I am absolutely terrible at figuring out which pattern papers will look good together.  Lisa is a pro at it...I just love the papers she chose!  The little buttons are such a cute accent too.  Yep..Lisa did wonders with my file.  I'm thinking if I get some time I should copy her cards so  I have one on hand when I need it.

There is a boy and girl version of these cards in my store so click on the words above the cards to purchase them. (a cutting file is included for the clothespins)

Are you ready for Halloween?  I'm not quite ready but am hoping to get some things done today and tomorrow.  I will have some Halloween projects to share with you tomorrow too.    I did manage to get one more Halloween file done and it will be in the store soon.  See a sneak peek of it below.

I love how it acts as an embellishment but also a title for scrapbook pages.  I have the 2009 version in the store already here.  In case you are like me and behind in your scrappin'!  This was inspired by the movie Charlotte's Web.  I just love that movie..my kids have never seen it so I think we'll be renting it soon!

We had a blast at Shaver's Creek last weekend.  The weather was warmer than ever so the Halloween trail sold out even though it never has in previous years.  We were disappointed we couldn't go on the trail but there were many other activities going on.  So much that they were kicking us out...we didn't even have time to carve our pumpkins!  I won't bore you with tons of photos but I just have to share a few.

Above is Tyler with his corn husk doll.  I had never made one of these before and it was pretty neat how they went together.  Tyler made a boy and Adoree made the girl version.  Tyler even learned a lesson in that these were what people considered toys when there wasn't things like video games and TV.

They have a rock climbing wall at Shaver's Creek that in the past when we went it was always inaccessible.  This time they had it available.  Daddy got into the act and my adventurous child Adoree got in on the action!

There was a horn on top you had to honk.  Hubby did it even though he is afraid of heights.  Yeah!

There you can see my dare devil climbing the wall!  She showed no fear what so ever!  They had an easier wall on the left but she wanted to climb the one Daddy did so that is why Daddy is helping her.  Tyler is afraid of heights but I don't think Adoree is!

Okay I don't know why but I always start working on these blog posts and by the time I am done my belly is rumbling!  So I must say goodbye!  Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow for some fun Halloween projects...I also need an opinion on a layout too...can't seem to figure out how to finish it.

Frugal Fridays: Get your kettle corn here just $1.00 today only, Halloween treats, and masculine birthday card.

Howdy,
Happy Halloween!  Can you believe trick or treating is next week?!  I can't!  Where has this month gone!  Guess we'd better get those pumpkin carved!  Tyler keeps talking about how he's going to poke the holes and carve his pumpkin.  He just loves finding the perfect pattern!   He also wants me to cut vinyl faces to put on pumpkins he and his sister painted in rainbow colors at one of the Fall activities Daddy took them to.  You know what we'll be doing this weekend!

Now on to the Frugal Friday special.  For today only you get my Sweet Treats file for just $1.00.  The special price will disappear at midnight EST tonight 10/22/10 so hurry up and click on the words above the preview if you want it.  Popcorn cuts separately so you could use it only for a movie night layout or invite.  I just love kettle corn and we are going to an event at Shaver's Creek this weekend so hopefully we can bring some home!

Sweet Treats

I finally got a chance to work on some new files just in time for Halloween!  These are perfect to give to special trick or treaters or teachers.

First up I have some Ttic Tac holders.  All you need is the Big pack of Tic Tacs, 12 inches of ribbon and some paper to make these adorable treats!

Pictured below is the collection but each one is available for individual purchase.

Tic Tac Holder Collection

CDT member Kelly Stone created these for me!  Didn't she do a fabulous job!  I know it's hard to see the details and all the small touches Kelly put into these.  If you click on the photo you can make it larger or go to my store and click on the words below to see each one individually. (I didn't want to make this post too long by posting photos of each one!)

Cat Tic Tac Holder
Pumpkin Tic Tac Holder

If you have visited my blog in the past or the Paperthreads forum you know that Sue Shaff is known as the energizer bunny.  A new file will hit the store and within minutes it seems Sue will have a project made using it.  Today is no different.  Sue has two amazing Tic Tac holder to share with us.

Sue used of all things melted crayons to color the die cuts.  Every since Laury showed the technique video here Sue has become obsessed with crayons!  The end results are grand and as Sue told me it's great to cut the die cuts out of white paper and use a crayon to color them instead of trying to find the perfect paper from her stash.  I especially love the glitter crayon she used on the ghost making it sooo eerie looking!   I can't wait to try this technique but I must do it when my kiddos go to bed...can you imagine their reaction at me melting their crayons!    Oh and Sue had a brilliant idea in that she stuck clear contact paper to the Tic Tac holder to protect them from dirt and handling!

You know what since you have seen a close up of the other two holders I think it only would be fair to Kelly to post the cat one.  So here you go...

If you click on the photo to make it larger you can see Kelly (the embossing Queen) used a great embossing folder on the base of the holder.  She also added little "studs" to the cat's collar.  The face is nice and sparkly as Kelly used some light yellow shimmer paper from the Paper Temptress and used markers to color the eyes and lips.  See I told you Kelly did an awesome job on these!

Kelly didn't stop at the Tic Tac holders she also created for me my Halloween Wrapper file.

I just love how she used colored core paper (find out how to make your own colored core paper by reading my tut here) then embossed  with the Swiss Dots folder and sanded dots on the hat.  She used the Textile embossing folder on the pumpkin too.  It's the same one Sue used.  I never would have thought pumpkins when looking at this folder but it looks amazing!   I also love her spider web paper...a nice change from the traditional black web paper.

That pretty much sums up the new files I have done.  If you'd rather see all of them in my store at once you can click here to view them.  I have one more Halloween file I'd like to get done so you have it for your Halloween layouts.  After that Christmas files!  I haven't forgotten about the Blog candy...at 200 files I will put something together for you.

I needed a masculine birthday card.  So here is what I came up with.
I was trying to decide what color to make the sentiment but couldn't decide so I randomly added all three colors to my title with my Copics before removing it from the mat.  I am pretty happy with the results and it was sooo easy.  I used my all purpose sentiment file.  Click on the words above the preview to purchase.  The mat isn't included but if you e-mail me at shellys art @ verizon.net (no spaces please) and tell me what format you need I'll be happy to send you the mat.

All Purpose Sentiments
For those of you who are into digtal scrapbooking I have a new file and CDT Caz has a special treat for you too.
Digital Layout Template 2
This template will let you create a layout within minutes by simply clipping paper to the template or adding styles.  As and added bonus Caz has a great kit and quick page to give you too.

Aren't they great!  I can't believe she is giving them away for FREE!  Visit her blog to get them here

Thanks for stopping by! Have a glorious weekend!

Frugal Fridays: Buzz..buzz....bee lollipop files only $1.00....get 'em before they buzz away and penguin time!

Howdy,
I've got plenty to do today so I'll get right to the Frugal Friday special.  For only $1.00 you can purchase the file to make these whimsical bee lollipops.  Eliminate the tag and these definitely would work for Halloween treats too.   Click on the words above the photos to purchase.   Hurry though the price will buzz away at midnight EST today 10/15/2010.

Bee Mine Lollipop Decoration
It's freezing today so it's the perfect time to bring on the penguins!  I have a few projects to share with you using my Winter Penguin file and another very talented lady by the name of Shelly also has a few to share too.  Without further ado let's bring out the penguins!

Shelly M just recently joined the Paperthreads forum.  I'm soooo glad she did!  I just love her work.  She is super talented!  (Besides I've gotta love someone whose name is the same as mine! LOL!)  The card she created is for my Oct. card sketch challenge (using Aussie Caz's sketch) on the Paperthreads forum.  Here is what Shelly had to say about her wonderful card.

"I experimented and found that I could cut ScorTape (double sided tape)! Soooo exciting (well, for me)! I used the lowest speed, I was so afraid of tearing it. It cut beautifully and I layered it with the regular snowflakes I cut out and used Dazzling Diamonds on it. The big snowflakes are Spellbinder dies, however, in the center of the Spellbinder dies is the snowflake that came with the penguin. Supplies: My Mind's Eye & K&Co dp, PTI ribbon & card stock, Oval Nesties, scortape, dazzling diamonds."

Isn't that great that she was able to cut score tape to make the snowflakes.   This would make them super easy to add the glitter to.

I am blown away by the luminary!  It's sooo great looking!  I may just have to make some of these as Xmas gifts this year.  They would be great for our church bizarre too.  You simply must visit Shelly's blog to get the deets on this wonderful  luminary project.  There is a surprise inside the luminary.  Want to know what it is?  Click here to go to Shelly's blog and find out.   It really is a great place to visit so grab some coffee or tea and go have a look!

Well I was greatly inspired by Shelly's penguin card so I decided to create one of my own.  Well two of my own.

The one above I did for Christie's Operation Write Home Challenge.   Click here to read more about the challenge.   It's such a worthy cause and I had soo much fun making this especially since I knew who it went to.  Christie is even offering a prize for entering her challenge.  Helping the soldiers and the chance of winning a prize what could be better! Hurry though only a few days left to enter.   I hope to get a few more cards done to send to Christie before the deadline.
I wasn't allowed to use glitter since it can flake off and put the soldiers in danger...soo I opted for shimmery paper from the Paper Temptress.   Patricia has the most gorgeous paper!  If you click on the photo you'll see I added some pom poms from some fiber I had for the tassel on the hat and scarf.  I think it turned out pretty cute...thanks for the inspiration Shelly!

I did follow Caz's wonderful sketch for my solider card but I had to make it the size stated in the rules.  Plus I sooo wanted to use the Dazzling Diamonds glitter Sandra graciously put in our goodie bags at the retreat...soo...
I used acetate to cut the snowflakes then applied the glitter..I just love the translucent nature of the snowflakes done this way.  They look much prettier in person!  I just love this glitter and will be purchasing more in the future!  Shhh don't tell hubby he hates glitter!  LOL!  A girl's gotta have her diamonds right!

Oh and I thought I'd share one more use for this file that I made last year.   My son's school mascot is a penguin so I attached the penguin to a bottle of hand sanitizer as a gift for his teacher. I used Flower Soft for the penguin's hat and scarf.  (Find out how to make your own version of Flower Soft  here) I just used contact paper to protect the penguin from the hand sanitizer.

If that's still not enough inspiration Sue Shaff has a cute little photo ornament using this file also.

If any of these projects have inspired you to get started on those gifts and cards please click on the words above the preview to purchase your own little Winter penguin.

Winter Penguin

Okay I've gotta get busy on some new files for Halloween before it's over!  I'm off to work on them.  I have plans for a tic tac holder and candy bar wrapper so stayed tuned!

Make it a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Frugal Fridays: Gift Bag Die Cut with Buttons $1.00 today only and a Fall Twig Tree

Hello everyone!
So how's the weather in your neck of the woods?  It's been rather odd here.  Frigid temps at the beginning of the week forced us to turn our heat on.  It was soo cold going to the bus stop in the morning  that I had to put Adoree's Winter coat on her.  Right now it's in the 40s but by mid afternoon it is suppose to be 70s.  Makes it soo hard to dress..think I need a bigger closet so I can store Winter and Summer clothes side by side to deal with Mother Nature's fickle mind!  LOL!

Today's Frugal Friday special is my Gift Bag Die Cut with Buttons.  It is on sale today only for $1.00.  Hurry though this price will disappear at midnight EST tonight Oct. 8, 2010.  This really is a versatile file which will work for scrapbook pages, cards and more. Click on the words above the preview to purchase the file but before you go I do have a few projects to share with you.

Gift Bag Die Cut with Buttons

Check out this awesome gift tag CDT member Lisa did with my gift bag die cut with buttons file.

She used Sam and Hailey's Designs 9 x 4 gift bag file for the bag and my Gift Bag Die Cut with Buttons for he cute little gift tag.  Isn't this little set just adorable.  You could use Christmas paper and change the flower to red to make a poinsettia to make a set like this for Christmas too. For Halloween you could add a ghost or pumpkin shape from my Chocolate Nugget Treat Purse file.

Here is a layout I made a long time ago but it shows you another way you can use the gift bag die cut file.

Lastly, I have a project done by Sue.    She created this great card for my Oct sketch challenge (the sketch is designed by Aussie Caz...isn't it great!) using my Festive Twig Tree file.

See that gorgeous ribbon...Sue got if from Scotland by winning Jennie Bean's challenge last year.  Isn't it gorgeous!  If you would like to win some goodies from Scotland  too be sure to check out Bean's challenge this year on the Paperthreads forum here.  Sue used Laury's melted crayon technique for the leaves and pot...you can see Laury's video here.  This technique looks like soo much fun but I just know I'll have to do it when the kids aren't around...I don't want to see what they think of me melting their crayons and I don't want them to think it's okay for them to do it either!  Oh and if you would like to join my Oct card sketch challenge..it's not too late..check out the deets in the Paperthreads forum here.

Festive Twig Tree

I just had to share with you this photo.  Laury made me this pretty pink pearl bracelet and gave it to me at the retreat!  What a precious gift this is.   Thanks Laury!  I asked Laury if it would be okay for Adoree to wear this as a necklace instead.  I showed Adoree when I got home from the retreat and she couldn't wait to wear it to church.  She loves dressing up!  One week for church I wanted to put pants on her and she said "but pants don't make me look like a princess!".  Now with this precious necklace on she did indeed look like a princess.  The clasp is a heart and she had to have it on the front.   Where has my baby gone!  She definitely doesn't look 3 in this photo!  Did you see her hair is finally growing in...she has officially stopped sucking her thumb and I'm hoping she is going to continue to let her hair grow in.  We can't wait to do some hairstyling!

Well my battery is going dead and I need to get ready for a crop tonight and tomorrow.  So..I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!
