Kelly Stone became a proud Mommy of an adorable little boy named Alex not too long ago.   She got excited this Easter and dressed him all up in this cute bunny costume.   She even found some time to scrap him in it.  See the fantastic layout she did below.

I just love that photo with his hands folded together.  Alex is soo precious and he looks just like Kelly....well I think he does!  Here is a little more info about the layout:

The easter eggs are from Shelly's Build an Easter Egg file. The title is from Chris Durnan. The photo mat with the tab is from Ileana's Kinetic Photo Mats file. And the journaling block is from Shelly's Notebook Edge - Journaling Block file.  Click on the previews below to purchase my files.  I just love that hidden journaling!

I hope to have at least a few new files in the store before my sale is over.  See a sneak peek below.

Oh and I know I promised to blog more and give you some organizational tips.   Sorry it doesn't pay for me to plan as my plans never seem to go as I want them to.  I will have some more to share with you next week hopefully.  The files tabs above were designed for two of my organizational projects.   So please keep checking back!  I will delivery eventually.  I know I can blame everything on the kids!  Sound good!  LOL!  We are suppose to have gorgeous weather this weekend.   Today is really nice too so I promised my daughter we'd go outside after lunch......that means I've gotta to get a move on!  Rumble..rumble...rumble...yeppers it's definitely time for lunch!

Arrows Template

Gotta Have Arrows

Aussie Caz did a great job with both of the files pictured above.

This one uses every single arrow!  Caz used the digital arrows along with her "Boy Stuff" kit.  I love the whimsical look of this layout and the sentiment is soo sweet!

Caz also created a wonderful card using Dustin Pike's truck image.  I love the sentiment and how the arrow reinforces it.  This card is a definite motivator for anyone.   Pssst...this will be the card was modeled after a sketch and card base Caz created....hint...hint...you will be seeing it again in May if you participate in my card sketch challenge on the PT forum.

Next up CDT Lisa Lindesmith created not only a wonderful card but a great layout using my Spring Watering can digital stamp.  I love both projects.   Gets me in the mood to plant flowers in my flower beds.   I love cutting flowers and bringing them in to sit on my table!

If you'd like to try your hand at creating your own bit of Spring beauty....click on the preview or words below to purchase my Spring Watering Can digital stamp.

Frugal Fridays: $1.00 emoticons file for today only and wonderful shared projects

Hello everyone,
It's Friday again and that means my special of the day!  For today only I am featuring my Emoticons file for only $1.00.   Hurry though the price will disappear at midnight EST today (April 16, 2010)!  I designed these to resemble the icons used in texting on cell phones.   I think they would look very cute on a scrapbook pages of  teen showing the massive popularity of texting in today's world.   However, if you are like me and have yet to join the masses...then this file would also look great on a card for a teen too.   Please go to my store and check it out by clicking here or the preview below.  But before you go I do have some wonderful projects that came to my mailbox!

First up I have some layouts to share.   Rosalie a very talented member of the Papertreads community shared with me this fun layout using my I love Ice Cream cutter file.  Check out the ice cream container..it's the Cold Stone Creamery!  This is my favorite ice cream place!  I'm so glad they don't have one too near my house or I'd be tempted to go every day!  LOL!  If you haven't heard of it...basically they mix various flavors of ice cream on a cold slab and add in toppings like chocolate cake, cookies, peanut butter cups, nuts etc.   It's to die for the best ice cream on earth in my opinion!  Just looking at their website makes me hungry!  Okay enough I'm drooling!  Don't you just love Rosalie's layout and the look on that little girl's face!  I'm not very good at mixing various pattern papers but Roaslie did an awesome job with that!
Click here or below to purchase the I love ice cream file and create some fun memories of your own!

I also have this available as a digital template for all you digital scrappers out there.
Click here or the preview below to buy the digi template.  PNG and layered PSD files included.

Next up is a digital layout by Aussie Caz.  She used my Spring Splendor digital scrapbooking kit to create this stunning layout.  I just love wisteria trees but hardly ever see them growing around here.   Caz explained that wisteria vines branch out, under and over things and become soo massive in size they can destroy buildings and such.  I can't believe such a beautiful flower could cause that much damage.  I'm happy Caz captured it's beauty safely on a wonderful layout!

Click on the preview below or here to purchase this kit.   It's on sale this month for less than $3.00!  An awesome deal if you ask me and I think Caz would agree!

Now for all you card makers out there...I have an absolutely gorgeous card made by Lisa Lindesmith.  However, Aussie Caz designed the awesome sketch she followed.   It's not too late to join in on the fun and use this sketch too along with the cutter files and PSD provided by Caz.  Click here to join my card sketch challenge on the PT forum.  I love the paper Lisa used and the rhinestones are the perfect accent.  The butterfly comes from my 3-D butterflies file.  Click here or the preview below to purchase.

OOps!  Sorry Lisa...I dunno what happened to your card earlier..but it's here now!  Isn't it beautiful!

My belly is rumbling so I will leave you with a few sneak peeks of files coming soon to my store.

It's soo time for lunch!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll have a glorious weekend!  Oh and I will have some layouts to show you I did when I was at the crop.  I spent too much time talking that I need to add some finishing touches to pages first!

Frugal Fridays: $1.00 alpha charm letters today only

Hi everyone,
Well another week gone.  "Poof" just like that!  I can't believe Easter is over and we are embarking on Summer.  I know Summer is still quite a few weeks away but we had a sample of it this week.  We had glorious sunshiny weather with temps in the 80s.   I can't remember Easter ever being that warm...we even colored eggs on the picnic table.  I hope you all enjoyed your Easter as well!    It was great....and left us wanting the warmer weather to stay...but it is a little colder today.   That's okay...I'm definitely not ready to turn on the air conditioners!

Before I tell you about my Frugal Friday special...I wanted to say thanks to everyone who left a comment and downloaded the card base.   It makes me smile big wide to know that you liked it!  With two young children running around my house...I'm all about making life easier.   So be on the look out for more of these card bases!

Okay now for my Frugal Friday special I'll be featuring my Alphabet Charm Letters: Uppercase for $1.00 only.  The price will magically disappear at midnight EST today (April 9, 2010).   So grab it now if you are interested.   Click on the preview below to purchase but before you go I have some projects to share with you.  Oh and you can easily make these paper charms look like real metal charms using my faux metal technique.  Click here in case you missed it.  Also, Paperthreads has some thin metal sheets that cut great in your cutter for sale here.    It appears the aluminum in sold out so keep checking back but copper is also available here.  It is a real copper sheet and will patina over time..I love the patina look!

Below is a wonderful layout CDT member Sandra did using the charm letters.  I love how they hang great using the brads and go perfectly with her gold metal charms.

Shelly e-mailed me with a wonderful Spring project she did using my Year Round Floral Shaped Card.  I just love the what she did but I may be partial since her name is the same as mine!  LOL!

Here is a description she gave me of what she used.

"I cut all the flower parts out of the same yellow and then chalked them to get the color effects!  Even chalked the stamen part!  Then stamped and embossed a sentiment on each one!  Sentiments are.... different words and you create your own.  Paper with them says Clear Stamps the Paper Studio  (Hobby Lobby!)  Everyday expression.  Flower pot is metallic paper, leaves is glitter paper, and even the flower paper is kind of shiney (no idea where I got that at)"
It's amazing how much depth and shading she got just from chalking the pieces.   I think I need to find that sentiment set....sounds like an ideal way to add a quick personalized sentiment to a card.  I wish I had a HL near me or any crafting store for that matter!  Oh well at least I won't go broke!

Click preview below if you'd like to purchase this file.

Oh and in case you are wondering what the SH Designs stands for it's Shelly's store.
Click here to go to her store.  Shelly has such a variety of embroidered pieces.  I love the organizers she made!  She even has a holder to carry your Nintendo DS and all the accessories.  Amazing!

I do apologize for not having any techniques or organizational tips as I promised I would.   It's not for a lack of trying...I do have many organizational projects ongoing  but I don't want to share with you any photos until it's complete.  So one day in the future....hopefully.  I also hope next week to share with you some paper flowers...

I'm going to a crop and am trying to prepare mini kits so I don't have to bring the kitchen sink!  LOL!  So I'd better get busy as the crop is tonight.  I'm very excited..it will be great to share face to face adult conversation with others who are as passionate as I am about paper crafts!  I can't wait to show you some layouts tooo as I'm sure you guys probably think all I make is cards!

Okay dishes are calling too!  Have a great weekend!

Hello everyone,
Easter is almost here! Can you believe it! This year is just flying by! We are going to decorate eggs soon. I can't wait! I'm soo lucky my kids are young and enjoy all these activities. Hmmm I wonder what the Easter bunny is going to bring them?! I can't wait to capture their excitement on film!

Before I go into the special for today..did you notice the banner above?  That's right I am having a sale to celebrate Easter.  You can get all my designs including cutter files, digital stamps, digital scrapbooking kits and templates for 40% off.  What a great deal!  If you don't have your Easter gifts done yet there may be something in my store that may help.  Why not stop on over today.  Click here to get to my store.

It's Friday so that means it's time for my Frugal Friday special. For today only I am featuring my build a binder clip cutter file or my digital build a clip template used for digital scrapbooking and card making for only $1.00!  Hurry though the price will magically disappear at midnight EST today April 2, 2010.  See the clock on the right to know what time it is in the PT store.  Click previews below to purchase either template or even both if you wish.   Before you leave though check out what my CDT has done and get your freebie.

Check out what the my newest talented team member did with the build a clip template and my Spring Splendor Digital Scrapbooking kit which is on sale the whole month of April!

That flower photo is simple gorgeous and I love how she attached the photo with the binder clips.  The title that comes in the kit is a perfect match!  Yeah!  Oh and incidently my Ad was made using this kit too.  It's so refreshing to see Spring colors.  This kit just puts me in a good mood...can you tell!?!  LOL!

Another talented CDT member Brett Robinson was having fun with my Spring Watering Can Digi stamp.

The card in the top left  card uses metallic pens and Doodlebug glitter.  The label is from  Jen Adkin's Designs Heritage Labels 1 .  I love the the cardboard background..so perfect!  The bottom right card uses water colors.  I have tried other painting mediums but never water colors.  After seeing Brett's coloring I may have to give it a try.  The brown paper is from Sixxix Little Sizzles Textures.  Another great background!  Wonderful job Brett!  If you'd like to purchase the watering can digi stamp please click on the preview below.

I showed you the Easter chick on a previous blog post.  Well it's finally available in my store.  I colored him with my Copics in and I think he turned out pretty cute. There's not a lot of detail in this little guy so the coloring goes quickly.  So...it's perfect for that last minute Easter card and will also work well after Easter because of all the sentiments I've included.   I would love to see him done up with some flocking.

Above is the card I created.  I got to use my Copic airbrush system again for the background.  It's soo much fun to use!  I'm so glad I bought it!  Once again I put the Transparent touches kit for March to use.  Even the buttons were included in the kit!  I won't bore you again by raving about this kit club but if you are interested just see my previous post here.  If you would like to purchase the Easter Chick digi stamp click on the preview below.

Since I started using digital stamps, I have found it's great to use my cutter to help make card bases that I can quickly add my stamps to. These work work for regular stamps too.   My goal is to have a collection that will work for all shapes and sizes of images. So I'd like to share with you the card base I used for the Chickie image and hope to share a few more in the future so you can start your collection too.   In the zip I have included cutter files in AI, KNK, GSD, SVG, and WPC format.  I've also included a layered PSD file for those Photoshop users who want to do their card digitally.  I ask that you please do not share this file with anyone but please send them to my blog instead to download it themselves. My TOU included with the file still applies.    Remember saying thanks will keep the freebies coming.  This file will remain here until Tuesday.   Sorry link removed...look for this in my store.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I'm off to eat lunch and color eggs!  Woo Hoo!  I hope you all have a fabulous Easter.   Don't eat too much chocolate!  LOL!
